Today's feature at Belmont Park is the Grade 1 Lonesome Glory Hurdle Stakes over National Steeplechase fences at 2-1/2 miles, and while it appears Demonstrative (5-2) has earned his highweight assignment by winning both Spa stakes starts, including the G1 New York Turf Writers Cup Handicap, it is History Boy (3-1) who's been carefully pointed to this by Jonathan Sheppard that rates the call.
Dropping 11 pounds form his restructed stakes score in the Mickey Walsh at Saratoga, he's also getting 12 from the early line favorite that's paying the price here for his Spa Grade 1.
Taking History Boy to win at 2-1 or greater and boxing him in the exacta with Demonstrative.
Running Totals: (1171) 363-226-177 Total Dollar Return: $2,481.80 [win selections only]

Have a weakness for the old jumpers, and I’m going to go with my numbers here on 1-Tax Ruling, who most definitely needed last. Have a couple of morning line bombers I’m using with. May all your jumps be high and long.
1-Tax Ruling (6.05)
4-Pierrot Lunaire (7.81)
2b-Spy in the Sky (8.14)
However, being the philanthropic humanitarian that I am, must share a bomber in the 9th today I’ve been waiting to return: 3-Big Creek, morning line 20-1; I can only hope. Now everybody knows. You’ve been warned. God bless, and good night.

T, don’t want to hear any excuses, you tabbed a second choice at 7-1 that went off at 48-1. I must presume you’re a quasi-rich man and will be loaded for bear Saturday.

TTT scored so big today that he broke the bank! That’s the real reason NYRA is shutting down racing tomorrow!

The thing dreams are made of.
With respect to Big Creek, have to believe their playing the “I’m hurt” game with him, and will stay on him in his next start. I had a feeling they were going to scratch him, and did not want to lose him.
