Today's Belmont Park featured Pebbles Stakes is remarkable in that it's ungraded even though it attracts classy 3-year-old turf fillies virtually every year. This year is no exception.

Discreet Marq is a deserving favorite (2-1) as a Grade 1 winner, Tapicat (7-2) has ability and fits the dynamic, and Teen Pauline (12-1) just might have found a home on the turf this summer.

But it's Dauphine Russe (3-1) that's the most interesting. Competitive in Group company in Europe, she fits the profile of a Chad Brown/Martin Schwartz winning import; the layup, purposeful work-line, first-time Lasix and Castellano taking the call.

With lots of early speed signed on, we're taking the Euro with the kick at 5-2 or greater and key boxing her in the multiples with her rivals here.
