Taking Graham’s Girl in the PG

Today's feature is the P.G. Johnson for juvenile fillies going a mile and a sixteenth on turf and it brings together a couple of good-looking maiden-debut winners. Of those we prefer the Graham Motion ship-in, Finn's Girl (5-2).

A $600K yearling, she took a while to get into gear then showed a good turn of foot to reach contention and a strong finish to get it done with energy in reserve. She owns a two-sided distance pedigree, suitable for the stretch-out from 7-1/2 furlongs.

Taking Finn's Girl to win, no price restrictions, and key-boxing exactas with Harmonize (4-1) and Ava's Kitten (7-2).

Number of Selections since 2007: 1817

Number of Win and Place Finishes: 548-347

Amount Wagered: $3,634 [$2 to win only]

Total Dollar Return on Investment: $3,759.50

Profit to Date: $125.50

We Like What We See Here

Today's With Anticipation, a Grade 2 for 2-year-old colts, drew only a handful of entrants and it appears to us that Site Read (2-1) is the reason for this. We suggest you find the replay over his winning debut over this course and decide for yourself. He was dominating.

The running time was very solid and on paper, despite the small field, there seems to be enough speed signed on. Apparently, trainer Bill Mott sold an interest in this colt to a few of his clients. He should be motivated enough to keep them, and us, happy here.

Taking Site Read to win, no price restrictions, and an exacta box with Monster Bea (5-2), who also changed hands following a winning turf and course debut.

Number of Selections since 2007: 1816

Number of Win and Place Finishes: 548-347

Amount Wagered: $3,632 [$2 to win only]

Total Dollar Return on Investment: $3,759.50

Profit to Date: $127.50
