Servis Turfer Just Too Sharp

My apologies to all; didn't arrive home until late last night and a bit foggy. Did this work on the plane then flat-out forgot to post. Going with Maura's Pass (3-1) in today's featured eighth from Belmont to win, no price restrictions, and an exacta box with Weaver returnee Willow U (6-1).

Will have normal analysis for tomorrow and catch up with the running totals. Again, sorry for the inconvenience....

Taking Eminem to Escape Tricky Feature

Today's Belmont feature is a trappy, a short field with uncoupled entries in various stages of their form cycles. We think it wise to stick to basics where possible while trying to get value in the process.

Slim Shadey (5-1) is not the turf runner he has been rejuvenated by David Jacobson in a three-race 2015 campaign, He earned his best TG figure on this course in his season's debut going 7 furlongs and is circling back to that effort.

His late run needs to be timed perfectly and Cornelio, a reliable Jacobson team member, is good at doing just that. Frankly, the price and current form is the most attractive thing about his chances here.

Taking Slim Shadey to win at 4-1 or greater and key-boxing exactas with Abtaal (4-1), second off the long layoff for the live McLaughlin barn, and J To The Croft (8-1), who broke through his 3-year-old top in his 4YO debut and is set to stretch out in today's LAY-2 scenario beneath live riding Lezcano.

Number of Selections since 2007: 1759

Number of Win and Place Finishes: 528-336

Amount Wagered: $3,518 [to win only]

Total Dollar Return on Investment: $3,612.90

Profit to Date: $94.90

Good and Fresh

If this were the fourth race on Thursday, the betting would go this way.

Taking Frosted (5-1) to win at 4-1 or greater, and an exacta box with American Pharoah (3-5).

Keying the two on top of additional exactas with Madefromlucky (12-1).and Materiality (8-1).

Adding Keen Ice (20-1) and Mubtaahij (12-1) in trifectas; the remainder in superfecta mixes. After the top two choices, the remainder of the slots look chaotic.

Enjoy Belmont 147 and cash a few tickets on the day!
