Little Red Rooster Can Cockadoodle Do

When last seen as a two year old, Little Red Rooster was defeating 11 rivals in her 6 furlong turf debut in Ireland.

Now she makes her 3YO in the States, going long with a suitable pedigree and getting first-Lasix for a barn that does well in today's scenario. This filly has been in steady training since late October so it won't be lack of fitness that will get her beaten.

Wayne Catalano, a profitable 23% first time going long, reaches out for the patient Julien Leparoux. This is no soft spot; 3-1 looks about right.

Take Little Red Rooster to win and key box her in multiples with Skinner Box, tactical speed from the rail, and impressive debut winners Season Ticket and Maddizaskar.

Number of Selections since 2007: 1686

Number of Win and Place Finishes: 506-327

Amount Wagered: $3,372 [to win only]

Total Dollar Return on Investment: $3,487.80

Another Stonestreet Flyer Can Run Like the Wind

Well, that certainly was a first rate debut by Wind Racer wasn't it?

Having to await room is one thing, even in a 7-horse field, then to win by five, geared down, in 1:09 1/5 with a final quarter mile in 24 2/5 is quite another.

Wolfson coming back off the maiden win is a profitable 28% effective. Just not going to fight this.

Taking Wind Racer to win the GP feature, no price restrictions, and key boxing exactas with price shot Curlin's Gold and Bill Mott returnee Previous, a big figure winner going 7 furlongs over the track last season when returning from long absence.

Number of Selections since 2007: 1685

Number of Win and Place Finishes: 506-326

Amount Wagered: $3,370 [to win only]

Total Dollar Return on Investment: $3,487.80

Profit to Date: $117.80

Could Be Start of Big Week for Pletcher Barn

Try as I might, I just couldn't avoid the favorite in today's Gulfstream Park feature, a secondary allowances/optional for fillies and mares sprinting 6 furlongs.

Discreetly Illusive (3-1) just has too many weapons. She owns the best Energy Rating by a significant margin, and has done so with consistency. And as good as Mr. Pletcher is off the bench, his charges are even better in LAY-2 scenarios; a profitable 27%.

She has tactical speed, can finish, is well posted toward the outside and Javier takes a return call. She has a regrettable habit of often finishing second, but that's why the racing gods invented exactas and other multiple pools.

Taking Discreetly Illusive to win, an exacta box with distance and GP loving Cajun Sunrise (6-1), and adding Quiet Hour (6-1) and Bureau de Change (5-1) to the super-exotics mix.

Number of Selections since 2007: 1684

Number of Win and Place Finishes: 506-326

Amount Wagered: $3,368 [to win only]

Total Dollar Return on Investment: $3,487.80

Profit to Date: $119.80
