An Obnoxious Situation

This really is getting old, but you play the hand you’re dealt.

In today’s featured English Channel at Belmont, Chad Brown trains the favorite for the one mile turf event, Let’s Get Loud (5-2) and I can’t beat him, you're welcome to try.

Chad runner is perfect at the distance, training right on schedule, and has ascending figures on the Thoro-Graph and Pricci Energy scales. ‘Nuff said.

Taking Let’s Get Loud to win, no price restrictions, and boxing the exacta with forward-looking price shot, Dalarna (12-1).

Tom Will Leave Rivals Twisting in the Wind

It's a little disheartening when, every time you analyze the following day's Belmont Park feature, the attraction often is a Chad Brown trained favorite on the turf that appears unbeatable on paper.

The difference on today's New York-Bred Showcase Day card is that the $300,000 Empire Classic is on the dirt, but Brown will still saddle the favorite, Twisted Tom, 2-1 on the early line.

The late developing 3YO has come to himself this summer, becoming a major player in the state-bred ranks, so good in fact that he will spot several older rivals actual weight.

But if his recent company workout, with good spacing into this at his optimal distance (2-for-2) means anything, he will be one tough out.

Taking Twisted Tom to win, no price restrictions, keying exactas with Papa Shot (5-1) and Governor Malibu (7-2).

Making Provisions for Friday’s Feature

Another Belmont feature race and yet another one on turf, another uncoupled Chad Brown entry, one which will go favored, and most probably win.

The numbers are there, the late kick is there, and the 11 furlongs with late-run Irad at the controls. Sorry, but can't go past Call Provision (8-5).

Taking Call Provision to win, no price restrictions, and boxing the exacta with Gold Shield (5-1).
