One Tasty Dish

Today's Madame Jumel attracted seven extremely closely matched fillies at various stages of their form cycles. While the temptation is to land on Satans Quick Chick, who earns the best performance figures cosnsitently, we'll opt instead for Sweet N Sour Nina, whose game has improved markendly since Pater Walder's claim last fall. The only filly sporting a win at today's 9 furlong trip, she's been pointed toward this and has been training very well at her Monmouth Park base. She reunites with Rajiv Maragh, who was aboard for aforementioned score at the trip.

Taking Sweet N Sour Nina to win at 4-1 or greater and key boxing her in exactas with Satans Quick Chick and surface winner Acronym.

Running Totals: (901) 285-182-123 Total Dollar Return: $1,960.90 [win selections only]

Dropdown Rules the Day

Today's main track feature is the listed Birdstone Stakes for older horses racing once around the park. While Rule might appear to have a disappointing profile, things like that happen when you compete in graded company for nearly two years, the fall of his 2-year-old season and if it weren't for bad luck, well, you know the rest. He suffered through a very tough trip when third in the G1 Donn and most recently, making his first start off a layup, he went head to head throughout very tesing fractions before settling for third behind Kensei who came back to run very well on the haskell card. Class relief and reunites with Castellano.

Taking Rule to win at 8-5 or greater and key boxing him in exactas with Gautier and Glenwood Canyon.

Running Totals: (901) 285-182-123 Total Dollar Return: $1,962.40 [win selections only]

I Be Eating Chalk

Today's feature is the John Morrissey for state-bred sprinters which looms a two horse affair between the faster Be Bullish (8-5), claimed by the hot George Weaver for Mike Repole vs. the Anstu Stable runner Ibboyee (7-5), trained by... wait for it... Todd Pletcher. No guesswork here. Prefer class figure over speed figure, and a preference for the Spa surface over a distance specialist.

Taking Ibboyee to win, no price restrictions, and a cold exacta over Be Bullish.

Running Totals: (900) 284-182-123 Total Dollar Return: $1,957.70 [win selections only]
