Crossing the Delaware

The Feature Race from Parx Racing is brought to you through special promotional arrangement with 123gaming.com

Today's 9th race from Parx Racing is a preliminary allowances for Pa-breds going 6 furlongs and could present an value opportunity.

Crossing (4-1) returns to state-bred allowance ranks following a game placing in recent open claimer in which he was haltered by Juan Guerrero, historically a lofty 34% effective with new acquisitions, especially with this type of spacing--five weeks.

Gelded 4YO Delaware Township runner looms the speed of the speed, is fast on the Thoro Graph scale, is nicely drawn toward the outside and Guerrero gives the call to regular partner J.D. Acosta.

Taking Crossing to win at 3-1 or greater and key-boxing exactas with Monba Mia (5-1) and turn-back Devil's Purge (3-1).

Coin Toss Came Up Heads

Hard to know which way to go in today's Forbidden Apple. Most of these appear to be looking for bigger game and with Saratoga just around the corner...

I decided to give the nod to Reload (5-2) over Vyjack (4-1). Don't think there will be much difference in the price considering Vyjack's terrific turf debut for new trainer Bill Mott, closing strongly for place behind King Kreesa who was allowed a soft early lead. Both will benefit from an anticipated stronger pace here.

Ultimately, we'll take the fresher of the two, one that's 1-for-1 at the trip and 2-for-2 on Elmont green.

Betting Reload to win at 2-1 or greater and key-boxing exactas with Vyjack and mile specialist Grand Arch (3-1).

The Devil Made Me Do It

Interesting 7F turf sprint tops today's Belmont Park docket and while we prefer the early line second favorite, value is possible because we have a hunch that the crowd will go bigger on the early line third choice, Token of Love (3-1), and the Chad Brown dropdown, Dauphine Russe (9-5)

Devilish Love's (2-1) second place finish in her recent season's debut earned her a lifetime best on the Thoro-Graph scale but the improvement was incremental, slightly minimizing the chances of a regression. Further, it's been 70 days since that effort and she goes first time for Ben Perkins Jr., a profitable scenario.

Javier Castellano takes the call and her recent workout at her home base was first rate.

Taking Devilish Love to win at 2-1 or greater and key-boxing exactas with course loving Mah Jong Madness (6-1) and notch-dropping Dauphine Russe.
