Schuylerville Score? Not This Year, Todd
Three races with names attached for opening day at the Spa for which the Grade 3 Schuylerville for juvenile fillies is the true featured attraction.
The projected winner last raced at Churchill and while ordinarily we would favor the Asmussen-trained Brazen Persuasion (3-1) because of her win at the 6-furlong distance--important experience for a 2-year-old.
But we just can't get Bret Calhoun's maiden-breaking Bahnah (7-5) out of our heads. She won as easily as horses can win [reply is must-see video] and her most recent work was fastest of 122 of her peers for the week at Churchill Downs. It's hard to envision a defeat as long as she is kept sprinting.
Taking Bahnah to win, no price restrictions, and boxing her in the exacta with Asmussen's filly. Exotics players can add True Blue Nation (12-1) to their trifecta mix.
