Sometimes, 2 + 2 = Closer

Today's nominal feature at Gulfstream Park is the Ladies Turf Sprint Stakes going 5 furlongs and, as one might expect, there is lots of speed signed on. The problem is that the fastest of them early lack staying power but can take other speed contenders out of their game.

And that leads to Madame Geary (5-1), she of the excellent late kick, a four time winner at the trip, and making her third start off the layup for Cam Gambolati, a profitable 42% scenario.

Taking Madame Giry to win at 3-1 or greater and key-boxing her in exactas with the very sharp Runway Ready (3-1), Believe In Charlie (6-1), from the resurgent Tom Bush shed, and adding likely speed-of-the-speed Bounding Bi (15-1) to the exotics mix.
