But there is this nagging question--even if he is a Big 'Cap winner--as to whether 10 furlongs is his best game. Under the right circumstances, his speed and class will prevail at that distance, especially given the speed-friendly nature of the Santa Anita strip yesterday.
But I would suspect that he will be pressured throughout by some close-up stalkers that have a good measure of class themselves. If he prevails, he will indeed need to earn it.
One of the stalkers, perhaps the one getting the best trip, the freshest one, the one that still posseses a good measure of upside and training like a wild horse is Mucho Macho Man.
Given the depth of quality among the opposition, I would have to seriously rethink a win bet--not the selection--if he is not close to his early line odds at post time. This field is simply too deep.
That said, we're taking Mucho Macho Man to win at 6-1 or greater to win his first ever Grade 1, an exacta box with The Dude, and adding the 2012 Big 'Cap winner, Ron The Greek, to the exacta mix.

Have 2-Flat Out as my top figure with 5-Game On Dude a close second. Can’t play them all, and I will forget the rest. Happy Breeders’ Cup day to all my friends and enemies.
2-Flat Out (6.56)
5-Game On Dude (7.48)
