TATE’S LANDING POUNCES IN THE LAUREL FUTURITY

LAUREL, MD. 10-27-12---Copper Penny Stables’ Tate’s Landing, who is based at Delaware Park, made his first trip to Laurel Park a winning one when he sat off the pace before charging up to win the $150,000 Laurel Futurity for 2-year-olds, one of six stakes races on the Fall Festival of Racing card.

Under Alex Cintron for trainer Mike Pino, the son of Orientate completed the 5-1/2 furlong distance over the firm turf in 1:02.08 and won by three and a quarter lengths over Star Maneuver, who rallied down the lane just outside the winner. Lunar Rock finished third.
