P.G. Johnson Quotes

Bill Mott, winning trainer of Harmonize (No. 1): "She went into the first turn on the lead but there was a horse that was a little rank down the backside and she was willing to let that horse go on. It worked out good; we tipped to the outside of her and had a target turning for home. She was very green her first time out. She just got lost on the lead last time and she's ready now."

Albany (NYB) Quotes

Rudy Rodriguez, winning trainer of Good Luck Gus (No. 1): "He was coming into the race very good. He's been training very good. We've been pointing him to this race all along. He won at Saratoga a year ago, I had entered him for [main track only] on the grass to see if we could get a race before this one because it's a long race, but he's been working super over here. I'm glad to see him win here, that's for sure."

Quotes from Jess’s Dream’s debut win at Saratoga

Kiaran McLaughlin, trainer of Jess's Dream: "It wasn't easy to get him to the races. We've had him for a year but it's taken a year to get him here. It was like a Grade 1. It was pretty special because of who it is and listening to the fans clap. It's great to win here at Saratoga with this horse because they appreciate him."
"He showed his potential today. He's never had any issues, other than the pharyngitis. It was because of who he was that we kept trying to get specialists involved and figure it out. It worked out and he's a very talented horse. [Stonestreet Stables] is great to train for and it's a privilege to have him in the barn; it's a lot of fun."

Troy Stakes Quotes

Joe Sharp, winning trainer of Shore Runner (No. 2): "He got a great trip, Kendrick did a good job. The pace was pretty slow and the guys tried to make it as hard on him as they could, rightfully so. He was the horse to beat. I had a lot of confidence in the horse, a lot of confidence in the jockey and they combined to get the outcome. I'm just grateful to have a nice horse like that and good owners. It's been a lot of fun."
