Gulfstream: $150,000 Sunshine Millions Sprint Quotes

Jason Servis, trainer (Ribo Bobo): “I stay out of his way, he does the rest. We went back in for him in a six-way shake. I guess you could say it was meant to be. My opinion is that when he got to four, five, six wins in a row—I was picking my spots with him, going to Penn National, I think he finally said, ‘Oh, I’ve really got this now.’”

“Paco wanted to take him off the pace today. Honestly, I’d rather see that, but he always breaks so good. This way he can conserve some energy. We’re going to have some fun this year.”

Ron Lombardi, owner (Ribo Bobo): “He’s unbelievable. Race after race, he just keeps coming. We got him for $8,000 and went back in for a $6,250. Nobody expects anything like this. Jason has done a great job. I’ve been in the business for six years and been with him the whole time. It’s a great partnership. He’s a little more conservative than I am so it’s a great partnership.

“We did nominate him to Dubai along with Tightend Touchdown. We’ll see. We’ll evaluate him after this race and get together. That’s my dream.”

Jockey Paco Lopez (Ribo Bobo): "I had a big decision having three horses in the same race. I was lucky I got put on the right horse. I knew, as soon as soon as I got to the front, at that second, that Ribo was going to go. He's a really really nice horse. He's a Grade 1, Grade 2 running horse."
