HELP WANTED FOR BELMONT STAKES DAY, SATURDAY, JUNE 8


ELMONT, N.Y. – Saturday, June 8, is Belmont Stakes Day and The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) will be hiring betting clerks, whitecaps, ushers, parking and cleaning staff to make it the most exciting and enjoyable day of racing in New York.


On Wednesday, April 24, and Thursday, April 25, NYRA will host job fairs at Aqueduct Racetrack from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on the second floor of the Clubhouse. Job fair attendees should enter the building through the main Clubhouse entrance and park in the Aqueduct Racetrack general employee lot.

On Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4, NYRA will conduct interviews for Belmont Stakes Day positions from 12 – 5 p.m. on the second floor of the Clubhouse (East end) at Belmont Park, 2150 Hempstead Tpk., Elmont.

Applicants for positions other than betting clerks must be at least 16 years of age with working papers and have with them two forms of identification (I-9 appropriate). Betting clerk applicants must be at least 18 years of age, present a current resume, and have a minimum of three years of cash handling experience.
