$100,000 PULPIT QUOTES

Trainer Chad Brown (Storming Inti, by phone from Aquduct): "The horse ran great. He’s better on the turf, but it all worked out. I was a little surprised to see him on the lead like that, but it was probably better to keep the slop out of his face.”

Owner Sergio Ripamonti (Storming Inti) – “Chad (Brown) wanted to scratch him, but I told him we have so many people here to watch him, let him run and he showed up. He’s by Stormy Atlantic out of a Pulpit mare, so he should handle the mud. Chad agreed and we moved forward.

“I’m glad he ran well in the mud and I’m glad he won. The options as to where he’ll run next, I’ll let Chad decide."

Jockey Alan Garcia (Storming Inti): "He broke a step slow but then he was fine and very comfortable. Chad told me to do whatever I needed to win the race. He said (Storming Inti) had been training. I hit him a few times to keep his mind on things down the stretch, but he ran really well."
