GULFSTREAM TODAY

Lead: Trainer Bill White predicted early in the week that Kinsman Stable’s 4-year-old filly Sisterly Love would “answer the bell again” bidding to run her career record to three-for-three in Saturday’s $57,500 allowance race at Gulfstreram Park, and she did so in style.

Breaking from the inside post one under jockey Luis Saez in the field of nine fillies and mare going one mile, Sisterly Love kept her position on the rail while dueling for the lead down the backstretch with Magic Hour on the outside before kicking clear in the final furlong to score by 2 ½ lengths over Lally Stable’s 4-year-old Oh Carole.

“Coming out of the one post I had to ask her a little bit to keep her in the clear,” said Saez after the race. “When I asked her in the stretch she was strong and had plenty left.” Saez has been aboard the daughter of Bellamy Road for all three victories, beginning with an 11 ½ lengths debut score at Calder on Oct. 27 and a 1 ¼ lengths win going a mile over the Gulfstream track on Dec. 2.

White was not on hand in the winner’s circle Saturday but had said that Sisterly Love was always highly-regarded by the people at Kinsman and originally ear-marked to begin her career in New York as a younger horse. However, recurring minor physical issues held her back and she was a big filly that needed time to grow and mature.

Sisterly Love paid $5.40 for $2 to win as the favorite and was timed the distance over the ‘fast’ track in 1:37:13. Molly Morgan finished third, a half-length behind the runner-up.
Big Numbers: Sunday's ninth race was memorable for those who had any winning tickets. Exeter Road (8-1) was followed past the finish line by runner-up Sugar Ryan (60-1) and third-place finisher Defense Mode (60-1).

The $1 Superfecta returned $247,391.30. The $1 Trifecta returned $8,839.00

Who's Hot: Trainer Giuseppe Iadisernia two winners Sunday, winning the fourth with Tinitus ($23.80) and the sixth with Money Money ($8).

Rainbow 6 Carryover: $7,992.06.
