Baltimore Native Wins Her First Race
BALTIMORE, MD. 5-1-09---Apprentice Jennifer Jennings notched her first lifetime win in today’s sixth race at Pimlico when her mount led from start to finish.
PTK LLC’s Plagiarize outkicked $5,000 claimers straight from the gate and Jennings spent most of her winning ride looking back for competition. The Allen’s Prospect offspring won by 7-1/2 lengths and paid $9.20.
“My dad is sixty today and they’re out here to see this,” Jennings added, just before being ambushed by a half-dozen of the Pimlico jockeys who drenched her with water and splattered her with eggs, all in good fun meant for the newest member of the riding colony.
