BOBINA ADAPTS TO SURFACE SWITCH TO REMAIN UNBEATEN IN $56,840 SUPERSTITION PURSE ON FRIDAY THE 13th
ARCADIA, Calif. (April 13, 2012) – After winning her debut on turf, trainer A.C. Avila’s Bobina remained unbeaten over a “sloppy” surface Friday with a dominant half-length victory in the one-mile, $56,840 Superstition Purse for 3-year-old fillies at Santa Anita.
With the track experiencing a downpour during the Friday the Thirteenth afternoon, the Superstition was switched to the main track and lost three of its scheduled seven starters.

A Florida-bred daughter of Malibu Moon owned and bred by Haras Santa Maria de Araras, Bobina earned $34,800 to bring her total income to $68,400. With no show wagering, she returned $5.40 and $3. Gittel, ridden by Eswan Flores, paid $4 to place.
