Bon Jovi Girl looks tough in Blue Hen Stakes

October 13, 2008, Wilmington, DE- Blaze of Glory Stable and Timothy Ritchey's Bon Jovi Girl will likely be the heavy favorite when she faces four rivals in the $75,000 Blue Hen Stakes at Delaware Park this Saturday. The mile and a sixteenth test for 2-year-old fillies has been carded as the seventh race with an approximate post time of 3:27 p.m.

In her most recent and only start outside of Delaware, Bon Jovi Girl ran fourth beaten 8-lengths in the mile and a sixteenth Grade I $500,000 Alcibiades Stakes at Keeneland on October 3. Previously, the daughter of Malibu Moon posted a 9 ¾-length score in the mile and a sixteenth $100,000 Fairway Stakes. The Kentucky-bred trained by Tim Ritchey sports a career record of two wins and a third from five starts with earnings of $121,620.
