Breeders’ Cup Wagering Up Sharply At NJSEA Locations
The 2010 Breeders' Cup Championships at Churchill Downs fueled more than $5.5 million in wagering at NJSEA outlets on Saturday, November 6.
Wagering on in- and out-of-state races totaled $5,681,046, a 21.6 percent increase over the $4.6 million wagered on Breeders' Cup Saturday in 2009. Meadowlands Racetrack led all outlets with more than $2.5 million wagered on site. Total wagering at all NJSEA sites on the Breeders' Cup Saturday card from Churchill was $2,995,133, up 19 percent from the $2.5 million wagered on the championships at Santa Anita the previous year.
