CALL FIRST DOMINATES SATURDAY FEATURE AT MONMOUTH
Oceanport, N.J. – Mat Stables LLC’s Call First moved quickly to the lead around the far turn and opened up his advantage through the stretch to post a 4 ½ length score in the $32,000 allowance/optional claiming feature at Monmouth Park on Saturday.
Trained by Patricia Farro, Call First covered the mile and 70 yards over a fast main track in 1:42.29 and returned $7, $2.80 and $2.40. Kid Sidney, the favorite in the field of seven geldings, completed the $18 exacta and paid $2.60 and $2.40. It was another head back to Nebikon, who paid $4 to show.
A 4-year-old by A.P. Indy from the Storm Cat mare Connie Belle, Call First sports a lifetime record of 4-3-2 from 15 starts.
