Carryover “Mania” at Hawthorne

Nobody is more enthusiastic about carryovers than Hawthorne Assistant General Manager Jim Miller. And not only because of the obvious---significantly more action in the various pools---but because the chances of someone hitting it big makes for exciting action. Anyway, that said, when live racing returns to Hawthorne on Wednesday, October 22, the Place Pick Nine and the Pick Six will both offer potentially large returns.

The Place Pick Nine will start with a whopping $52,604, and the Pick Six will begin with $32,883 in the till. If you throw in a Late Pick Four carryover of $9,640, you have a few pretty good reasons to pay attention to racing just a mere few days before the 2008 Breeders’ Cup.

It took quite a few days for these pools to escalate, but it will take only one good day of handicapping to take it down. Good luck!!
