Del Mar To Offer Wide Variety Of Simulcasting At Meet

Del Mar once again will offer simulcast racing for watching and wagering from the major New York tracks, as well as Arlington Park and racetracks in Canada during its 37-day meeting starting Wednesday, July 22. Additionally, simulcasting from South America also will be presented, as well as selected major stakes races from around the United States.

Simulcasting will be available every Wednesday through Sunday during the track’s new five-days-per-week schedule throughout the summer. It also will be offered on Mondays when the Saratoga meeting is up and running, starting on August 3 and going through to Labor Day, Monday, September 7. The Monday wagering will be offered in the Hacienda Room off the Plaza de Mexico in the track’s Stretch Run area. There will be no simulcasting on Tuesdays.

Racing from Belmont Park (through Sunday, July 26) and Saratoga (starting Wednesday, July 29) will be featured daily with the first post at approximately 10 a.m. (Pacific time). Arlington racing from the Chicago area will be available as part of all Del Mar cards. Then throughout the week Canadian racing from Woodbine near Toronto and Hasting Park in Vancouver will be offered. Finally, South American tracks also will be on the agenda.

In addition to the out-of-state programs, Del Mar will carry full cards from the Northern California fair circuit, including the following tracks -- Vallejo, Santa Rosa, CARF at Golden Gate Fields, Ferndale and Cal Expo.

Del Mar also will conduct simulcasting on Quarter Horse racing from Los Alamitos Thursday through Sunday evenings.
