Dubai Golden Shaheen Preview – Thursday March 24

Dubai, UAE, March 24, 2011 - The smallest field of the night but a fascinating race featuring a clash between Kinsale King and Rocket Man who were first and second last year when the 1200m contest was run on the All-Weather for the first time.

It would not be a surprise were they to fight out the finish again and Kinsale King, trained by the colourful Carl O'Callaghan may struggle to confirm the form with Patrick Shaw's top-class sprinter.

Force Freeze was well behind last year but is better than that and has slowly been coming back to his best this season for Doug Watson and the ultra versatile Escape Route also represents the locals. He is trained by Satish Seemar.

America do have a formidable record in the race (formerly a dirt contest at Nad Al Sheba) and Euroears is there second runner but he does look to have a bit to find.

Green Birdie should not be overlooked despite the widest draw and forms part of a strong Hong Kong contingent with John Moore saddling both Sunny King and Dim Sun. There would appear very little between that pair with the suspicion that the trip will suit Darren Beadman's mount Dim Sum slightly better, though Sunny King, to be ridden by Gerald Mosse, is proven on a similar surface whereas his stable companion is not.

Dynamic Blitz's form in Hong Kong does not look quite as strong as that of Moore's duo but he is a course and distance winner at Meydan having won the Group Three Al Shindagha Sprint.

Godolphin's Charlie's Moment is also a course and distance winner but is stepping up from handicap company. That said, he was impressive on that occasion and deserves his chance in this grade.
