First 32 Tenants Announced for Village at Gulfstream Park
Eager shoppers, local businessmen and politicos, tourists, residents and curious horse-racing aficionados learned Thursday the identities of the first 32 tenants to take space in the $244.7 million Village at Gulfstream Park.
The announcement came at a well-attended press conference conducted in the walking ring/paddock area of the cornerstone of the new development, Gulfstream Park Race Track.
Among the tenants, listed below, will be upscale restaurants, home furnishing stores, designer clothing retailers and nightclubs. There will also be a parking garage and its construction will increase the number of parking spaces on the property to more than 7,000.
“The Village at Gulfstream Park has become a stunning reality,” said Brian Ratner, President, East Coast Development for Forest City Commercial Development. “The Village at Gulfstream Park is the first shopping destination with a racetrack as anchor, and we couldn’t have picked a more well-groomed facility with which to partner.”
In all, The Village at Gulfstream will be home to 13 restaurants, 17 retailers and two trendy nightclubs. It will house 70 stores in total, covering 410,000 square feet of highly-sought retail space. Whether shopping, dining or just out for a walk, patrons will be able to enjoy The Village at Gulfstream Park while keeping a close eye on the horses coming through the finish line.
“The Village at Gulfstream Park is an exciting development for the residents of Hallandale Beach,” said Joy Cooper, Mayor of Hallandale Beach. “We have long envisioned this exciting and vibrant development in our community and look forward to its opening.”
