FOREVER TOGETHER AMONG NINE LATE `FESTIVAL NOMS
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (October 9, 2010)—Multiple graded stakes winner Forever Together and Hibaayeb, who won the Yellow Ribbon in her U.S. debut on Oct. 2, were among nine late nominations for Hollywood Park’s upcoming Turf Festival.
A fixture at the annual Autumn meet, the Turf Festival will be run over three days (Nov. 26-28) and include five graded stakes worth a combined $950,000.
Zifzaf, a 4-year-old son of War Chant, is the lone late nomination to the $250,000 Citation, a Grade II at 1 1/16 miles. It will be run on Saturday, Nov. 27.
Like the Matriarch, there were four late noms – Bushwacked, Citrus Kid, Fantastic Pick and Teaks North - to the $250,000 Hollywood Derby, a Grade I for 3-year-olds at 1 ¼ miles. The Derby climaxes the Festival on Sunday, Nov. 28.
