Ginger Punch gets top weight in the Delaware Handicap

Stronach Stables' Ginger Punch received top weight of 124 pounds for the 71st renewal of the $1,000,000 Grade II Delaware Handicap to be run on Sunday, July 13. For the first time, he mile and a quarter classic for fillies and mares as a "Win and You're In" Breeders' Cup Challenge race with the winner automatically qualifying for the Ladies' Classic to be run on October 24.

Defending Delaware Handicap champion, Team Valor Stable's Unbridled Belle, received second high weight of 122 pounds.


Possibles for the Delaware Handicap include All Smiles, Buy the Barrel, Copper State, Cowgirls Don't Cry, Hystericalady, Kathleens Reel, Lemon Drop Mom, Moon Catcher, Santa Teresita, Spring Waltz, and Unbridled Belle.
