ALBANY -- A busy week at Golden Gate Fields will feature three handicapping contests, the $75,000 Corte Madera Stakes and a snow party for kids.

Thoroughbred racing will be conducted Wednesday through Sunday and post time is 12:45 p.m. each day.

Golden Gate Fields will host single-day handicapping contests Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The winner of each day's contest will earn an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas for the 2009 Daily Racing Form/National Thoroughbred Racing Association National Handicapping Contest.

Fans will receive one contest entry card upon entering the track each day. The contest challenges fans to pick the winners of races three through eight. The contest winner will be the person who makes the most money each day based on mythical $20 win bets.

The Corte Madera Stakes, a one-mile race for 2-year-old fillies, will highlight Saturday's card. The Corte Madera will bring out Epitome of a Lady, a Jerry Hollendorfer-trained filly who has won three of her four career starts, including the Harvest Futurity at the Big Fresno Fair.

Entries for the Corte Madera will be taken Wednesday morning.

Sunday is Snow Day at Golden Gate Fields. The north entrance to the track will turn into a winter wonderland where kids will enjoy a play area featuring 40 tons of snow, a sledding hill, and an ice skating rink.

Admission to Golden Gate Fields is only $1 Sunday and kids are admitted free. The track will also offer $1 general parking, $1 programs, $1 hot dogs, $1 hot chocolates, $1 sodas and $1 beers.
