Rainbow 6 Carryover Stands at $508,090 for Saturday
Donn Day Card to Feature Guaranteed Late Pick 4, Late Pick 5 Pools

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL
– There was no unique winner of the 20-cent Rainbow 6 on Friday, leaving a jackpot carryover of $508,090.75 for Saturday’s stakes-filled 13-race program, highlighted by the 58th running of the $500,000 Donn Handicap (G1).

Since it was last hit for $76,799.38 by one lucky bettor on Jan. 13, the popular multi-race wager has gone unsolved for 17 consecutive programs. The largest payout of the current Championship Meet was $262,634.84 on Jan. 7.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

There were multiple tickets sold with all six winners on Friday, each worth $1,587.54.

Saturday’s Rainbow 6 will span races 8-13 and includes the $75,000 Gulfstream Park Turf Sprint in Race 10, the $350,000 Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap (G1) in Race 12 and Donn in Race 13. Also on the card are the $75,000 Ladies Turf Sprint in Race 4, the $100,000 Fred W. Hooper (G3) in Race 5 and $150,000 Suwannee River (G3) in Race 6.

In addition to the Rainbow 6, the Late Pick 4 spanning races 10-13 will be guaranteed at $350,000 on Saturday, while the Late Pick 5 covering races 9-13 will be guaranteed at $250,000.

Who’s Hot: Championship Meet-leading jockey Javier Castellano notched his second straight three-win day on Friday with Class Will Tell ($24.20) in the third race, It’s Elementary ($9) in the eighth and Giant’s Jewel ($7.20) in the ninth. Class Will Tell and Giant’s Jewel are both trained by Tom Bush.
