HORSERACING TV READIES FOR COMPLETE COVERAGE OF UPCOMING GULFSTREAM PARK MEETING

Hallandale, FL Facility Begins 79-Day Stand This Saturday, January 3

Hallandale, FL, Dec. 29 -- HorseRacing TV (TM) (HRTV) will provide complete coverage of one of Thoroughbred racing's signature race meetings when Gulfstream Park in Hallandale, FL opens its 70th annual race meeting this Saturday, January 3.

The Sunshine State's outstanding racing facility will kickoff its 79-date campaign with a 1:15 p.m. ET/10:15 a.m. PT post time. Gulfstream Park will conduct five-day race weeks (Wednesday-Sunday) through Closing Day, Thursday, April 23. A pair of $100,000 races -- the Spectacular Bid and the (Grade 3) Hal's Hope -- headline the Opening Day card.

HRTV's respected group of hosts and analysts will bring racing fans complete, in-depth coverage of each racing day. Daily coverage will include up-to-date racing information, expert analysis and handicapping strategies, as well as full post parades.

In addition, HRTV's daily "RaceDay America" show will provide viewers with more pertinent information of each Gulfstream card, as well as other major racing venues across the country.

Gulfstream's meeting adds another outstanding component to HRTV's bustling winter/spring calendar. It joins Santa Anita, Aqueduct, Fair Grounds, Laurel Park, among others, on the network's docket. Oaklawn Park, in Hot Springs, AR, joins the fold later in January.

The Gulfstream meeting once again offers a tremendous stakes schedule, with 31 graded stakes races set. The Grade 1, $750,000 Florida Derby, a traditional Kentucky Derby prep race, is slated for March 28. Two other key races -- the $500,000 Donn Handicap, and the $250,000 Fountain of Youth -- are scheduled for January 31 and February 28, respectively.
