MEADOWLANDS ADDS POKER TO PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE

Meadowlands Racetrack and NJ Free Poker (NJFP) will host free Texas Hold'em tournaments Friday nights on the Clubhouse Level beginning February 27.

Professional dealers will offer free poker lessons at 6:30 p.m.; the free tournament begins at 7 p.m. All participants will receive free admission passes and a live racing program. While there is no gambling at the poker tables, participants can enter drawings to win mutuel vouchers.

NJFP is a free poker league offering nightly Texas Hold'em tournaments at local bars, restaurants and other locations. In each nightly tournament, the 10 players who reach the final table earn points based on their finishing positions. Each nightly winner, the 200 top scorers and the 5 players with the best attendance, qualify for the NJFP Finals. NJFP will sponsor the winner of the final tournament to play in a World Series of Poker or World Poker Tour event. Players must be at least 21 years old to participate.
