MISS KNEEHIGH NEVER HEADED IN FEATURE AT MONMOUTH

OCEANPORT, N.J. * Patricia Generazio’s Miss Kneehigh took command from the gate and led the entire way to win the $51,000 allowance feature by a length and a half at Monmouth Park on Wednesday.

Miss Kneehigh, trained by Tony Wilson and ridden by Daniel Centeno, raced the six furlongs over a fast main track in 1:11 3/5 and paid $7.20, $3.20 and $2.40 across the board as third choice in the field of six New Jersey-bred fillies.

True Intentions closed some ground late but never threatened the winner. She complete the $21 exacta and returned $3 to place and $2.20 to show. Paradise Tonight, the 7-5 favorite, was third and paid $2.20 to show.

This was the first win of the year in three starts for Miss Kneehigh, a 4-year-old daughter of Defrere. She won twice at Monmouth last year.
