MOGER, GOMEZ TEAM UP FOR PAIR OF WINS AT GGF
ALBANY -- Trainer Ed Moger, Jr. and jockey Alejandro Gomez teamed up to win a pair of races at Golden Gate Fields Sunday.
In recording their double, Moger and Gomez pleased both “chalk players” and longshot bettors as they won the fourth race with 3-to-2 favorite Royal Dream ($5.00) and the seventh race with 9-to-1 outsider Appealing Resume ($21.00).
Jockey Russell Baze also had a riding double as the Hall of Famer won the first race with Kintla Journey ($2.60) and the eighth with Strait Jazz ($3.60).
Racing resumes at Golden Gate Fields Thursday. Post time is 1:15 p.m.
