MY PLACE ANYTIME SCORES 5TH IN A ROW AT MONMOUTH ON SUNDAY

Oceanport, N.J. – Bruno Schickedanz’s My Place Anytime broke on top and never looked back, capturing the $32,000 allowance/optional claiming feature at Monmouth Park on Sunday, her fifth consecutive win in Oceanport.

Trained by Yvon Belsoeur, My Place Anytime covered the six furlongs over a fast main track in 1:11 2/5 and paid $5, $3.20 and $2.20. West Coast Lady, who finished 3 ¼ lengths behind the winner, completed the $18 exacta and returned $3.60 to place and $2.40 to show. It was another length and three quarters back to Angel Dreams, who paid $2.20 to show.

“She was very quick out of the gate,” said winning jockey Elvis Trujillo, after piloting his fourth winner on the card. “At the 3/8ths pole I looked behind and saw nobody was coming, so I waited a little bit. When we turned for home and she switched leads, I let her go. She really responded. She’s a very fast filly.”

My Place Anytime, a 4-year-old filly by Don Six from the Out of Place mare Your Place Anytime, was claimed out of a winning effort at Monmouth on June 2. Under the tutelage of Belsoeur she has reeled off four more victories.

Live racing continues at Monmouth Park on Saturday, Sept. 22 – gates open at 11:30 a.m., first post 12:45 p.m.
