NYRA NOW ON SIRIUS RADIO TO DEBUT SATURDAY, MARCH 7
NYRA Now, a half-hour Sirius Radio show dedicated exclusively to Thoroughbred racing at the New York Racing Association’s Aqueduct Racetrack, Belmont Park and Saratoga Race Course, will debut Saturday, March 7 from 12:30 p.m. – 1 p.m. Eastern.
Hosted by Dave Johnson and Bill Finley, NYRA Now will air on Sirius Channel 122 and XM Channel 143 and will be available to 20 million Sirius XM subscribers. It will offer handicapping, interviews with owners, trainers and jockeys and feature segments.
The show is preceded by Down the Stretch, also hosted by Johnson and Finley, which airs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Additionally, there is a schedule for 11, one-hour afternoon shows featuring NYRA stakes races. These races are as follows and are subject to change:
April 4: Wood Memorial
June 6: Belmont Stakes preview show that airs prior to ESPN radio’s coverage of the Belmont Stakes, the longest and oldest leg of the Triple Crown
July 25: Coaching Club American Oaks plus a Saratoga preview show
August 1: Diana, Jim Dandy
August 8: Whitney, Test (Fasig-Tipton Festival of Racing)
August 15: Sword Dancer
August 22: Alabama
August 29: Shadwell Travers, NetJets King’s Bishop
September 5: Woodward, Forego
October 3: The Jockey Club Gold Cup
October 10: Champagne, Frizette, Jamaica
