Preakness Tidbits

Tuesday at Pimlico

· Papa Clem will work at 7 am

· Friesan Fire scheduled for 8 am work. Trainer Larry Jones to decide on Preakness after breeze

· Big Drama has been here since last Tuesday. He has been going to the track at 6:30 am

· D. Wayne Lukas’ horses (Flying Private & Luv Gov) leaving Louisville at 4 am

· General Quarters scheduled to leave Churchill at 5 am

· Mine That Bird will leave Kentucky at 9 am

Van drivers tell us it is 10-11 hours from Churchill to Pimlico. Derby winner will get a police escort from Route 70, prior to the Baltimore Beltway into Old Hilltop.


Flight from Louisville-expected to include Rachel Alexandra, Derby runner-up Pioneerof the Nile and Terrain scheduled to land in Baltimore, meaning 10 of the 13 expected starters will be stabled in the Pimlico Stakes Barn

Post Position Draw will take place in a 50 x 116 tent in the media parking lot at Rogers & Winner Avenues. Festivities begin at 4 with the actual draw from 5-5:30 live on HRTV and ESPN 360


Alibi Breakfast begins at 9:30 in the Terrace Dining Room in the Pimlico grandstand


Jockey Challenge media session at Pimlico Stakes Barn (time TBA)

InfieldFEST press media session at Pimlico Stakes Barn (time TBA)


Jockey Calvin Borel scheduled for a 7:30 am media session at the Pimlico Stakes Barn

Final three

Saturday----InfieldFEST concert rules (per the bands)

Broadcast crews will get 60 seconds of the board feed for the first 3 songs from each act after they have signed a release which will be presented to them at will call. Once they have signed this, they will be provided with their passes.

Still Photographers can shoot the first three songs (no flash). The release will be presented at will call for signature and once signed, the photographers will be given their passes.
