QUEEN OF THE CATSLE WINS DEL MAR FEATURE


In a dominating performance, Queen of the Catsle and jockey Victor Espinoza made quick work of the opposition in winning Del Mar's Thursday feature, a five-furlong dash over the infield Jimmy Durante Turf Course.

Cut loose entering the stretch under a confident ride by Espinoza, Queen of the Catsle cruised to the front in mid-stretch and won by 1 1/4 lengths in :55.95 for the abbreviated distance.


Perfectly Natural salvaged second, with Whatsitgonnatake third.

Queen of the Catsle, a four-year-old daughter of Tale of the Cat owned by C.T. Grether and trained by Howard Zucker, went postward the 8-5 favorite and paid $5.40, $3.40 and $2.40 while scoring her third win in ten starts. Perfectly Natural returned $9.40 and $4.80, while Whatsitgonnatake paid $2.60 to show.

Thursday's attendance was 10,224.
