Special eight-race card slated for this Saturday to complement Breeders’ Cup simulcast
A special eight-race live card has been scheduled to complement the Breeders' Cup World Championships simulcast at Delaware Park on Saturday, October 25. Post time for Saturday's first live race is 10:45 a.m. The first race of the Breeders' Cup card from Santa Anita Park will begin at 1:10 p.m.
On Friday, October 24, the Breeders' Cup Ladies' Classic card, which will also be simulcast from Santa Anita Park, is scheduled to begin at 2:05 p.m.
Local stars will make their presence felt in the Breeders' Cup this year.
Steve Klesaris, currently fifth on the Delaware Park trainer standings, has entered Miraculous Miss in Friday's Filly & Mare Sprint and Sky Diva, who notched her first win in her career debut at Delaware Park, in the Juvenile Fillies.
H. Graham Motion, currently eighth on the Delaware Park trainer standings, has entered Saucey Evening in Friday's Juvenile Fillies Turf. For Saturday, he has entered Rebellion in the Dirt Mile and entered Better Talk Now in the Turf.
Hystericalady, the winner of this year's Delaware Handicap, will look to pull off an upset against heavy-favorite Zenyatta in the Ladies' Classic on Friday.
Trainer Jonathan Sheppard has entered Forever Together in Friday's Filly & Mare Turf.
On Saturday, True to Tradition, second in the Mo Bay Stakes and conditioned by Delaware Park leading trainer Scott Lake, will run in the Turf Sprint. Fabulous Strike, the winner of the Vincent Moscarelli Memorial at Delaware Park this year, has been entered in the Sprint.
General parking and admission to Delaware Park is free. Live racing is conducted on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday through the end of the meet on November 11.
