TAMPA BAY DOWNS ANNOUNCES EXPANDED WAGERING PLATFORMS

OLDSMAR, Fla. (December 12, 2008) Tampa Bay Downs has reached an agreement with Advanced Deposit Wagering (ADW) venues in conjunction with the Tampa Bay Downs HBPA for the upcoming season beginning on opening day, December 13. Tampa Bay Downs’s signal will be available on Xpressbet.com, myracebet.com), tracknet.com and twinspires.com (a subsidiary of the Churchill Downs, Inc.) as well as the Television Games Network (TVG) and Horse Racing Television (HRTV). YouBet.com is in final negotiations with Tampa Bay Downs with both parties looking to make an announcement later this afternoon.


Peter Berube, Vice President and General Manager of Tampa Bay Downs, said of the development, “We are delighted to have Tampa Bay Downs racing available on TVG, HRTV and other online wagering platforms, and look forward to providing a quality product for customers nationwide to enjoy.”

Tampa’s 83rd season of racing begins on December 13 with an eleven race card, featuring the $65,000 Lightning City Stakes for fillies and mares three years old and up running five furlongs on the turf. The Silks Poker room is open daily from 12:30 PM through 12:30 AM, and The Downs Golf Practice Facility is open on Mondays from 10:00 AM through 10:00 PM and on Tuesdays through Sundays from 8:30 AM through 10:00 PM.
