TRAINER MIYADI SADDLES THE WINNER IN THREE STRAIGHT RACES AT GGF


ALBANY -- Trainer Steve Miyadi saddled the winner in three consecutive races Saturday at Golden Gate Fields.

Miyadi won the third race with Royal Stormer ($9.60), the fourth with Letsgetitright ($3.60), and the fifth with She’s Ordained ($6.80). Miyadi teamed with jockey Alejandro Gomez for the victories with Royal Stormer and She’s Ordained, and partnered with Russell Baze for the win with Letsgetitright.


Miyadi is fifth in the Golden Gate Fields trainer standings with 29 victories.

Sergio Ledezma was the only other trainer to win multiple races Saturday. Ledezma scored with a pair of longshots, taking the seventh race with Love Sir Paul ($24.40) and the ninth with Streamside ($16.40).

Gomez was one of three jockeys to record a riding double. Baze, prior to taking the fourth race with Letsgetitright, captured the second with Bailouttheminister ($4.60). Juan Hernandez won the first race with Dancing Yedeler ($6.20) and the eighth with They Call Him El ($7.80).

Racing continues at Golden Gate Fields Sunday. Post time is 12:45 p.m. and the track is offering $1 general parking, $1 general admission, $1 programs, $1 beers, $1 hot dogs, and $1 sodas.
