W’Rsan filly to set her claim on final round of Arabian Triple Crown
Sunday's Abu Dhabi card features the Group 3 concluding round of the Arabian Triple Crown with a select field of five are set to face the starter in the AED200,000 contest.
The likely Pick Six favourite would appear to be the Jaci Wickham-trained Raeaa W'Rsan who had three of tonight's rivals behind her when second to Al Charif over the same 2200m course and distance last time.
That winner was trained in Oman by Philippe Barbe and he saddles the highest-rated runner in this race in Kerbelle Lotoise. However, she was behind O'Shea's mount on that occasion and it is hard to see her reversing the form.
Also in front of her in that race was the Michael Kettle-trained Sama Bu Dhabi who actually beat Raeaa W'Rsan in the Fillies' Classic. That was over 1600m though and Wickham's charge then extracted revenge, over the same trip, before finishing well in front of her last time.
The other pair are trained by Eric Lemartinel with Ted Durcan's mount Naseem Al Reef feared most.
Racing concludes with a 1400m maiden and South African Mike De Kock saddles Jodi who will surely be hard to beat unless one of the newcomers has above average ability.
Of the others with experience, Ali Rashid Al Raihe's Daher should run another good race having been second over course and distance last week.
That is the only Thoroughbred race on the card with the other maiden, over 1600m, looking at the mercy of Gyntha, trained by Bakhit Al Ketbi.
