Woodward (G1) Quotes

Eddie Plesa, Jr., winning trainer of Itsmyluckyday (No. 2): "It's like when you have a child that does something out of the ordinary, exceptional, that you know he could do; that's what it felt like. Forego (G1) Quotes

Linda Rice, winning trainer of Palace (No. 6): "[Palace] is a really talented horse, and when he is good I need to use him because on several occasions I've needed to stop on him, turn him out, and give him a break. When a horse is doing as well as he is, I don't know how long I can keep him that good."
"He's such a special horse, and [owner Antonino] Miuccio has allowed me to stop on him, turn him out, and give him a break whenever he needs it, and it's obviously paid off."

Riskaverse Quotes

Tom Albertrani, winning trainer of Miss Frost (No. 2): "Her last two races she's made steps forward; it was a tremendous performance from her. We weren't planning on being on the front end, but it's just the way things worked out. She was just dragging Edgar along. Down the backside I thought maybe she was doing too much for her own good, but once they came to her she just re-broke again. Edgar had a ton of horse the whole way."
