- Tom O'Grady's impressive maiden winner Cadeyrn will wade into the deep waters of the Triple Crown trail, taking on winners for the first time in the Grade 1, $1 million Wood Memorial at Aqueduct on April 9, according to trainer Jeremiah Englehart.

Paulassivlerlining and Clothes Fall Off square off in Correction


OZONE PARK, N.Y. - Two talented fillies in Paulassilverlining and Clothes Fall Off are set to face each other in the $125,000 Correction at six furlongs for fillies and mares 4-years-old and up in Saturday's feature race at Aqueduct Racetrack.

From the barn of trainer Michelle Nevin, Vincent Scuderi's Paulassilverlining boasts a formidable career record of two wins and a second-place finish from three starts over the Big A inner track. The 4-year-old daughter of Ghostzapper enters the Correction coming off an astounding 9 ¼-length victory in her first start of the year in which she was chased three-wide most of the way in an optional-claimer on February 11 at Aqueduct.

Salutos Amigos repeats in G3 Tom Fool


OZONE PARK, N.Y. - David Jacobson and Southern Equine Stables' Salutos Amigos kept his perfect record over the Aqueduct Racetrack's inner track intact, erupting through the stretch to win his second straight Grade 3, $200,000 Tom Fool Handicap by 2 ½ lengths on Saturday.

Shagaf punches Derby ticket in Gotham; Mei Ling steals Heavenly Prize


OZONE PARK, N.Y. - Shadwell Stable's highly regarded homebred Shagaf lived up to his lofty expectations to take the 64th running of the Grade 3, $400,000 Gotham by 1 ¼ lengths Saturday afternoon at Aqueduct Racetrack, earning 50 points to virtually lock down a spot in the Kentucky Derby on May 7.

Breaking from the inside post on a track that had favored inside speed through much of the day, Laoban hustled to the front of the seven-horse field, setting fractions of 23.33 seconds for the opening quarter-mile and 47.16 for the half. Shagaf, ridden by Irad Ortiz, Jr., was joined in the middle of the pack by Rally Cry and Sunny Ridge as the trio filed in behind the leader, who swept through.

- Sunny Ridge's owner-breeder Dennis Drazin may not be trying to shore up a berth in the Kentucky Derby when his homebred sophomore enters the starting gate in Saturday's Grade 3, $400,000 Gotham, but it's not because of a lack of faith in the son of Holy Bull, preferring instead to look a little further down the line.

Katniss the Victor headlines Busher


OZONE PARK, N.Y. - Set to make the third start of her career, Katniss the Victor will look to begin her journey towards a starting position in the Kentucky Oaks for owners Michael Dubb, Bethlehem Stables, and Michael Imperio, headlining the 37th running of the $125,000 Busher for 3-years-old fillies at 1 1/16 miles on Saturday at Aqueduct Racetrack.

Clipthecouponannie holds off Frosty Margarita in Franklin Square


OZONE PARK, N.Y. - Repole Stables' homebred Clipthecouponannie kept her undefeated record intact as she gamely held off Frosty Margarita to pass the first serious test of her young career with flying colors, taking the $125,000 Franklin Square for 3-year-old New York-bred fillies from gate to wire on Saturday at Aqueduct Racetrack.

Under Irad Ortiz Jr., Clipthecouponannie leapt to the front of the four-horse field, edging away from Wonderment to cover the opening quarter-mile in 22.94 seconds and the half in 46 flat. Multiple stakes winner Frosty Margarita, ridden by Jose Ortiz, mounted her challenge at the top of the stretch after the frontrunner led five-eighths in 58.15.

Frosty Margarita, Clipthecouponannie square off in Franklin Square


OZONE PARK, N.Y. - Repole Stables' homebred Clipthecouponannie is set to make her stakes debut on Saturday, taking on the venerable Frosty Margarita in the $125,000 Franklin Square for 3-year-old New York-bred fillies at Aqueduct Racetrack.

Clipthecouponannie, slightly favored at 7-5 in the six-horse field, enters the Franklin Square undefeated in her two lone contests against state-bred fillies over the Aqueduct inner track. On December 20, the bay daughter of Uncle Mo settled close to a sharp early pace before drawing off to break her maiden by a geared-down 4 ¾ lengths.

Live racing at Aqueduct now scheduled for February 18, 2016


OZONE PARK, N.Y. - The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) today announced the addition of one live racing date to the current Aqueduct winter meet. Live racing is now scheduled for Thursday, February 18.

This day is being added as a result of this past weekend's live racing cancellations due to extreme weather conditions. Thursday's card will be composed of entries redrawn from overnight races originally intended from Saturday and Sunday's cancelled cards.

Sheriffa, Threehailmary’s square off again in Biogio’s Rose


OZONE PARK, N.Y. - Multiple stakes winners Sheriffa and Saythreehailmary's face each other for the first time in 2016 on Sunday at Aqueduct Racetrack as they head a field of six New York-bred fillies and mares in the $100,000 Biogio's Rose at 1 1/16 miles.

Saythreehailmary's, trained by John Morrison for the Very Un Stable, enters the Biogio's Rose off consecutive stakes victories, having closed out her 4-year-old campaign with a 1 ¼-length win over Sheriffa in the Bay Ridge and opened this year with a solid open company triumph in the Ladies on January 10, in which she carried 115 pounds.

Sassicaia splits rivals to take G3 Toboggan


OZONE PARK, N.Y. - Robert V. LaPenta's Sassicaia may have been a late entrant in the Grade 3, $150,000 Toboggan, twice rescheduled due to inclement weather, but his timing quickly proved to be impeccable, springing a mild upset to score his first graded stakes victory on Saturday at Aqueduct Racetrack.

Sunny Ridge shines in G3 Withers win


OZONE PARK, N.Y. - Trainer Jason Servis said he was confident in Sunny Ridge's chances heading into Saturday's Grade 3, $250,000 Withers, but he felt even better when he saw the 3-year-old Holy Bull gelding enjoying a perfect trip down the backside at Aqueduct Racetrack.
