(March 12, 2013) – Eclipse Award-winning sprinter and three-time Florida Stallion Stakes winner Big Drama, south Florida riding stalwart Eduardo Nunez, and top-five all-time Calder trainer Dan Hurtak were among the nine new members to the Calder Hall of Fame announced at the FTBOA Awards Gala in Ocala on March 11.

(November 21, 2012) – Nominations for a pair of closing day graded turf stakes at Calder Casino & Race Course have been released with 23 horses listed as potential starters for the Grade 3 Tropical Turf Handicap and 16 fillies and mares made eligible for a possible appearance in the Grade 3 La Prevoyante.

NAPLES BAY LEADS FIELD OF EIGHT DRAWN FOR GRADE 3 MY CHARMER
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (November 18, 2012) – Edward A. Cox, Jr.’s Naples Bay, winner of the Grade 3 Noble Damsel at Belmont Park in mid-September, headlines a field of eight fillies and mares scheduled to start in the Grade 3 My Charmer Handicap, run at the distance of 1 1/8 miles on the Calder Casino & Race Course turf Thursday, Nov. 22.
Trained by Christophe Clement, who won the My Charmer in 1995 with Danish and in 2005 with Snowdrops, Naples Bay is a two-time winner in 2012, adding an allowance victory on the Monmouth Park grass course in August to her Noble Damsel triumph.
