Tempted (G3) Quotes
Tony Dutrow, winning trainer of Big World (No. 4): "I didn't give [Jose Ortiz] any instructions at all. I told him she's an easy ride and he would know what to do when the gates opened. I noticed the speed was looking at her and they were going soft, so he took advantage of it."

Racehorse or Broodmare: Decision Upcoming on Sheer Drama’s Future
HALLANDALE BEACH, FL
– Drawing the outermost post in a field of 14 that featured eight graded-stakes winners, including the defending champion, might not have been the biggest obstacle Mongolian Saturday had to overcome in his 15-1 upset of the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (G1) Oct. 31.
It was only this spring, in a previous trip to Keeneland Race Course, that the gelded 5-year-old son of Any Given Saturday became so sick that his connections feared for his life.

HIGH MARKS FOR KEENELAND’S FIRST BREEDERS’ CUP
KEENELAND RECORD ATTENDANCE;
HANDLE FIGURES FLAT WITH 2014
LEXINGTON, Ky. (October 31, 2015) – Racing fans could not be blamed if they were asking what took so long after a spectacular renewal of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, including Triple Crown winner American Pharoah’s history-making win in the $5 million Breeders’ Cup Classic, in its inaugural homecoming to iconic Keeneland Race Course, in the heart of the Thoroughbred industry in Central Kentucky.
Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) Race Quotes
Bob Baffert (trainer, American Pharoah, 1st) – “We were hoping for a performance like this. When he’s right, if you let him run...I feel really good about it. What a horse! I'll never see another one like him. I'm just proud of my team, and Jimmy Barnes and I'm so happy for the Zayats. I'm emotional right now. I had more pressure. I wanted him to go out a winner. This one was for ‘Pharoah.’ It was for the people who came to see this and I'm glad he gave the people what they wanted to see. I'll never have another horse like him.”
Breeders’ Cup Turf (G1) Race Quotes
Aidan O’Brien (trainer, Found (Ire), 1st) – “I’m absolutely delighted. She’s a very special mare. To run in two Champion Stakes (Irish and English, an Arc and then to come and win the Breeders’ Cup Turf is quite remarkable. She’s very special.”
Breeders’ Cup Juvenile(G1) Race Quotes
Doug O’Neill (trainer, Nyquist, 1st) – “The race didn't unfold like I expected. We thought, being on the outside there, with kind of a short run to the first turn, we'd be up on the lead, saving ground. I have to watch the replay, but from my recollection we were five or six wide. But Mario (Gutierrez) did his Mario thing where he just never panicked. From Day one, before this horse ever debuted, he had the mind and the stride of a two-turn horse. When he debuted, like, 'wow.' The other day, maybe he wasn't that impressive, maybe because we came back quickly. He was pressured early, and I think with that race under his belt, he turned it around today.”
Breeders’ Cup Mile Quotes
Mark Casse (trainer, Tepin, 1st) – “I said to Norman (son and top assistant) after Stephanie's Kitten's performance today that if she (Tepin is going to be champion Turf Mare, she's going to have to win today. I whispered that in her ear. To be in the same company with Goldikova, Miesque and Royal Heroine, beating the boys in the mile, I'm not sure I have the words. Am I dreaming? She just continues to amaze me. I'm still in shock (at how easily she won and by how many lengths) so I'll have to watch the race a few more times, and then I'll be even more surprised. I can't put it into words what great work Norman did with this horse. It's special. He worked really hard with her. It's hard to describe (my emotions).”
Breeders’ Cup Sprint Quotes
Maria Borell (trainer, Runhappy, 1st) – “Oh my God, oh my God. I was worried, I'm not going to lie. Track record, really? Oh my God. I am just not used to him not going to the lead like that. I was nervous. That is the first time he stalked off the pace like that. I was nervous, but he did it. I can't believe it.”
Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf Quotes
Chad Brown (trainer, Stephanie’s Kitten, 1st) –"She's tough, I'll tell you. Mr. and Mrs. Ramsey deserve a lot of credit because they had a chance to sell her last year and they bought her back and raced her as a six-year-old, which isn't a popular thing to do. They were rewarded today. She won here today just six miles from where she was born and raised and I am so happy for them. I was quite concerned when I saw that Irad had her last in a race that had no pace, and when he chose to go up the inside to get through, I thought that he was going to have to get real lucky, and I'm glad he did. But I have a lot of confidence in Irad (Ortiz Jr.). We have a perfect record together so I have a lot of confidence in him. He rode the filly like she was a winner the whole way. I'm so proud of them today. This victory means so much to me. Mr. Ramsay chose to give me this filly after she already won a Breeders' Cup race (The Juvenile Fillies Turf for Wayne Catalano in 2011), which is a risky thing to do. Her form hasn't always been good, but he stayed with me and believed in me and my staff. He has a farm, like I said just six miles from here and this is her last career race. What a story!"
Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint Quotes
Chad Brown (trainer , Wavell Avenue, 1st) – “We thought there'd be a strong pace up front. Joel (Rosario) has gotten along with this filly so well. He's really been instrumental in her development, as much as me. It's really been a team effort. I have to give Steve Young a lot of credit - he found the filly at the farm and put her in our care. It was a great find. From there, she just fit well in the system and she keeps getting better. Joel has given me terrific feedback every time he's ridden her. We were really confident if she got a strong pace she could get there. It's a thrill to be here. I'm so proud of her.”
Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint Quotes
Enebish Ganbat (trainer, Mongolian Saturday, 1st) – “I was expecting the horse to run well. I thought he could come first or second. Here, he’s been doing very, very well. We came here to win a Breeders’ Cup and we did.”
