4th Running
2-Year-Olds, Colts & Geldings, Bred or Sired in California
One Mile

Jockey Quotes
MARIO GUTIERREZ (Winner, Found Money): “The race went pretty much the way I hoped it would because I didn’t want to get to the lead too early. (Runner-up Glory Bound) put up a real good fight in the stretch, but my horse was very game.’’

Trainer Quotes
DOUG O’NEILL (Winner, Found Money): “All credit to (jockey) Mario (Gutierrez). He rode him with confidence. He felt he was on the best horse and rode him accordingly. Mario’s ridden well at this track. It’s a long straightaway and you have to conserve your horse and he did just that.’’

$301,000 STARLET (GI) 2-Year-Old Fillies 1 1/16 miles

Jockey Quotes

MIKE SMITH (Winner, Street Fancy): “She’s anxious before the race starts, but once she leaves there she’s cool and was very relaxed today. We’re actually still figuring each other out and that’s what was happening in the early part of the race. I wasn’t concerned about coming up on the inside in the stretch because there was plenty of room and she was very focused.’’

ALEX SOLIS (Second, Stays in Vegas): “We got a good trip. She relaxed nicely. I waited as long as I could, but I did have to move a little earlier than I wanted. She was game and showed a lot of heart.’’

$100,000 Harlan’s Holiday Quotes

Trainer Marcus Vitali (Valid): “He’s a good horse. He’s back at home. He likes it here. We knew there was some speed in there. I told (jockey) Javier (Castellano) just be light in the mouth and keep him close. Javier decided to let two or three horses go and when it was time, he asked and as usual Valid responded.”

“He was doing really good, and the Breeders’ Cup I don’t think took a lot out of him. He’s a class horse and good horses make good trainers. He’s been holding up really good and training good. I thank Crossed Sabres for the opportunity again. They’ve been very generous and trusting in me and that’s why I’m here.”

Bay Ridge Quotes

John Morrison, winning trainer of Saythreehailmary's (No. 4): "She was coming into this race well and I knew she was going to run well and everything worked out. Jose gave her a perfect trip and I'm just happy about the results. We'll see how she comes out of this before we decide where to go next but we were looking at the Winter Showcase Day in February as a possibility. She's honest, she gives you everything she's got every time."

$100,000 Rampart Handicap (G3) Quotes

Trainer Marty Wolfson (Cali Star, Best Behavior): “She likes this track; I knew that. When I (first) worked her I was surprised. She had been working slow, but her works have been really strong. She’s run like her works have been.”

“I was more pleased with the other filly (runner-up Best Behavior), because she hadn’t run for six months. She was game.

Cali Star Heads Wolfson Trio in Saturday’s Grade 3 Rampart

Lori’s Stare Gives Wolfson Live Shot in Saturday’s $100,000 South Beach

– Trainer Marty Wolfson has built a rather extensive resume that includes Miesque’s Approval’s 2006 Breeders’ Cup Mile victory among many other Grade 1 successes.

Despite his well-rounded body of work, the year-round Gulfstream Park-based conditioner could be regarded as a filly whisperer of sorts. The 64-year-old trainer certainly has brought out the very best in the fillies and mares that have passed through his stable.
