Live racing will be conducted this Wednesday, September 26, and will resume on Saturday, September 29. First race post time is 1:15 p.m.

Lucky Chappy tops Grade III Kent Stakes
Wilmington, Del., September 19, 2011 — Team Valor International’s Lucky Chappy will be seeking his first victory in North America when he faces 10 rivals in the $200,000 Grade III Kent Stakes at Delaware Park this Saturday. The mile-and-a-eighth turf test is for 3-year-olds.
Since breaking his maiden and following with a stakes score in Italy last year, Lucky Chappy has posted six solid efforts stateside without a victory. In his most recent, the Irish-bred conditioned by H. Graham Motion ran third in the mile-and-an-eighth Grade Saranac Stakes at Saratoga on September 2. In the Saranac, the son of High Chaparral closed from 18-lengths behind to finish 1½-lengths behind winner Unbridled Command.

DELPARK - DELCAP NEWS & NOTES - ROYAL DELTA READY
Wilmington, Del., July 16, 2012 — All systems are on go for the 124-pound high weight and likely favorite Royal Delta for the 75th running of the $750,000 Grade II Delaware Handicap this Saturday. The draw for the mile-and-a-quarter filly and mare summer classic will be on Wednesday.
Royal Delta, a Kentucky-bred conditioned by William Mott, breezed five furlongs in 1:00 1/5 on Sunday.

Bubbly Jane rates as slight choice in Robert G. Dick Memorial
Wilmington, Del., July 11, 2012 — Haras Interlagos’s Bubbly Jane rates as the slight favorite in the $200,000 Grade III Robert G. Dick Memorial at Delaware Park this Saturday. The mile-and-three-eighths turf test for fillies and mares, which is the supporting feature on the Delaware Oaks card, has attracted a field of eight.
Bubbly Jane ran second beaten 3 ¾-lengths in the Robert G. Memorial last year. The 7-year-old daughter of Yagil has made only two starts since then. The Brazil-bred conditioned by Todd Pletcher followed by being finishing unplaced in the $77,000 Omnibus Stakes at Monmouth Park on September 5. In her only outing this year, she ran second beaten a length in the $90,000 Mohegan Sky at Belmont Park on June 16. She has a career record of six wins, three seconds and two thirds from 14 starts with earnings of $247,527.

DELAWARE OAK NOTES 7-9-12
Wilmington, Del., July 9, 2012 — Growing up in the mid-Atlantic region and being the son of a former three-time Delaware Park leading trainer, Anthony Dutrow has seen and been involved with some of the greatest races at Delaware Park.
The 54-year-old native of Hagerstown, Maryland, notched his first career training victory at Delaware Park with a horse named Attainable in 1978, which was the third consecutive year his father Richard was the leading trainer at the track. Anthony Dutrow has won more than 14 stakes at Delaware Park. He has won the local prep for the Delaware Oaks four-times, but he has never won the Delaware Oaks or the Delaware Handicap.

75th Anniversary of the Filly & Mare Summer Classic
Wilmington, Del., June 14 2012 — Accomplishments early in a career lead to confidence and experience, which in turn lead to more and more accomplishments.
One accomplishment that has had a long-lasting impact on the career of trainer H. Graham Motion was winning the Delaware Handicap with Power Play only four years after winning his first race as a trainer. In 1993, after working for trainers Jonathan Sheppard and Bernie Bond, the native of Cambridge, England, won his first career race with Bounding Daisy at Laurel Park. Four years later, at the age of 33, Motion won the biggest race of his career up to that point with Power Play in the Delaware Handicap at Delaware Park.

Wicked Mizz impressive with Go For Wand Stakes victory
Wilmington, Del., June 9, 2012 — Green Lantern Stable’s Wicked Mizz notched her first career stake victory with an impressive victory in the $75,000 Go For Wand Stakes at Delaware Park today. The Go For Wand is the prep for the $400,000 Grade II Delaware Oaks to be run on July 14.
With Jeremy Rose aboard, Wicked Mizz posted a 2 1/4-length win and returned $16.40. The 3-year-old daughter of Mizzen Mast covered the mile and seventy yards in 1:42.32 over a fast main track. Ageless, with Luis Garcia, finished second and it was another 1 ¾ lengths farther back to And Why Not, with Joseph Rocco, Jr., in third. The 3-to-1 favorite in the field of nine, Lady Cohiba with Daniel Centeno, finished seventh.

Captivating Lass tops Go For Wand Stakes
Wilmington, Del., June 7, 2012 — Darley Stable’s Captivating Lass tops a field of nine in the one-mile-and-70-yard $75,000 Go For Wand Stakes at Delaware Park this Saturday. The Go For Wand, named after the 1989 2-year-old filly and 1990 3-year-old filly champion locally owned by Christiana Stables, is the local prep for the mile-and-a-sixteenth $400,000 Grade II Delaware Oaks to be run on July 14.
In her most recent, Captivating Lass finished sixth in the Grade II Gulfstream Park Oaks on March 31. Previously, the daughter of A.P. Indy ran third in the Grade II Davona Dale Stakes at Gulfstream Park on February 25. In her only other outing this year, the Kentucky-bred conditioned by Kiaran McLaughlin won the $100,000 Busanda Stakes at Aqueduct on January 7. She sports a career record of two wins and a third from five starts, with earnings of $132,600.

Win Willy looks to return to winning form in the Joseph French Memorial Overnight Stakes
Wilmington, Del., May 16, 2012 — Jer-Mar Stable’s Win Willy will look to return to his winning form when he faces six rivals in the mile-and-a-sixteenth $50,000 Joseph French Memorial Overnight Stakes at Delaware Park this Saturday.
It was a little more than a year ago when the 6-year-old son of Monarchos visited the winner’s circle. On April 11, 2011, the Kentucky-bred conditioned by McLean Robertson posted a one-length score in the in the mile-and-an-eighth $350,000 Grade II Oaklawn Handicap. Since then, he has raced twice in losing efforts at Oaklawn Park. On March 10, he ran sixth in the Grade III Razorback Handicap, and on April 14 he ran seventh in the Grade II Oaklawn Handicap. He has a career record of seven wins, four seconds and two thirds from 20 starts with earnings of $827,127.

North Freeway takes Winter Melody Overnight Stakes
Wilmington, Del., May 12, 2012 — Michael Dubb’s North Freeway, who was claimed for $35,000 in December of 2011, notched her first career stake victory in the Opening Day feature at Delaware Park the $56,000 Winter Melody Overnight Stakes.
With Jose Caraballo aboard, the 4-year-old daughter of Jump Start notched a 4 ¼-length front running victory. She returned $4.80 as the favorite in the field of five. The Virginia-bred conditioned by Anthony Dutrow cut early fractions :48.81 for the half mile and 1:12.25 for the three-quarter miles before completing the mile and a sixteenth in 1:44.86 over a fast main track.

Wilmington, Del., May 9 2012 — When Ramon Dominguez started winning riding titles with regular ease on the New York circuit, nobody in Delaware was surprised.
When the 36-year-old native of Caracas, Venezuela, accepted his second consecutive Eclipse Award for outstanding jockey earlier this year, the fans who saw him ride at Delaware Park collectively said, ”It is about time.”

Robertson Stable gearing up for Delaware Park
Stanton, Del., May 9, 2012 — The stable of Mclean Robertson is expecting another a solid season at Delaware Park. The 75th anniversary season, which will feature 100-days of live racing, is set to open this Saturday.
Last year, the 38-year-old native of Schuyler, Nebraska, posted his best Delaware Park season by finishing third in the standings with a record of 31 winners from 142 starters with earnings of $885,962. In 2010, he posted a record of 12 wins from 88 starters.
