Seemar and Al Raihe both double handed in Jebel Ali Stakes Prep
Derrinstown Stud, the Irish arm of the breeding operation of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will sponsor the 1800m Jebel Ali Stakes Prep, the highlight of Friday's final Jebel Ali fixture of 2011.
Ibn Al Nafis looks an interesting contender for trainer Satish Seemar, who also has Eddie Jock among the eight declared, but stable jockey Richard Mullen has chosen Ibn Al Nafis, explaining: "Eddie Jock will run his usual solid race but Ibn Al Nafis is a horse we have always thought a lot of. He won his first three ever starts, all at Jebel Ali, but then missed last season. He has needed his two runs so far this season and hopefully the trip will suit as he was staying on last time."

Jaasoos wins HH The President of the UAE Cup
The Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club-sponsored HH The President of the UAE Cup, a 1400m Listed race for Thoroughbreds, was the highlight of Sunday evening's final meeting of the calendar year in the Capital and was won easily by Jaasoos.
Trained by Dhruba Selvaratnam for his main patron His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the seven-year-old posted a comfortable victory under James Doyle to gain compensation for his unlucky second three weeks ago in the 1600m National Day Cup, a race he had won in both 2009 and 2010.

It looks a cracking renewal of the 1400m highlight with 13 declared and the majority look to hold a winning chance headed by Il Grande Maurizio and seeking a fourth win this season already.

Dubai, UAE, December 3, 2011 - With Saturday afternoon's second meeting of the season from Sharjah sponsored by Porsche through Al Nabooda Automobiles, it was perhaps fitting that the Tony Manuel-trained AF Tharb sped to a new track record in the opening 1200m Purebred Arabian maiden.

Al Raihe flies through Meydan feature
Emirates sponsored Thursday evening's first meeting of the new season and Champion Trainer Ali Rashid Al Raihe continued his flying start to the new campaign when saddling no less than four of the six winners.
These included both of the featured handicaps with Rochdale landing the main race, the 2000m handicap, under stable jockey Royston Ffrench. A winner over 1900m on the equivalent card last year, Rochdale clearly goes well fresh but did also win on his second start last season.
