Gulfstream’s 20-Cent Rainbow 6 Hit For $130,000


HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - Gulfstream Park's 20-cent Rainbow 6 was hit Sunday afternoon by a single bettor for $130,712.80.

The winning ticket - purchased for $64.80 - was 8,9/5,11/7,8,11/3,5,6/5,6,8/1,5,10.

The winning numbers on the Rainbow 6 were 8-5-11-6-8-10. Some bettors were knocked out of the Rainbow 6 when Strong Composition won the eighth race, paying $31.20, and even more were knocked out when Silver Sassy won the ninth race, returning $74.

Singanothersong Out for Stakes Repeat in Treasure Coast

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL -- Jockey Tyler Gaffalione celebrated his 21st birthday in style Saturday at Gulfstream Park, guiding graded-stakes winner East Hall to a dominating 1 3/4-length victory in the $75,000 Sensitive Prince Stakes.

Aboard the 2014 Indiana Derby (G2) and Ohio Derby winner for the first time, the summer meet's leading jockey was more than a little impressed with the manner in which East Hall defeated five rivals in the 1 1/16-mile stakes for 3-year-olds and up over a sloppy main track.

Mandatory Payout of Rainbow 6 Generates Multiple $261,743 Payoffs


HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – A mandatory payout of Gulfstream Park’s 20-cent Rainbow 6 carryover pool generated a $261,743.65 payoff for multiple ticketholders Monday.

Heading into the last race, there were 62 tickets that included the first five winners in the six-race sequence. One ticket on the No. 7 (Hengist) would have taken down a jackpot worth nearly $2.3 million.

Rainbow 6 Carryover $662,400.60 in Advance of Monday’s Mandatory Payout


HALLANDALE BEACH, FL –After going unsolved for the 31st consecutive racing program at Gulfstream Park, the Rainbow 6 carryover grew to $662,400.00 and is set for a mandatory payout for Monday's 11-race Labor Day program.

Monday will also feature mandatory payouts in the Pick 5 and Super Hi-5. The Super Hi-5 enters the Monday program with a carryover of $11,671.80.

Trainer Stanley Gold (Ballet Diva): “I don’t think she was handling the track (last time out). She was sliding. She handled it today, but the stretch got longer. By the eighth-pole it looked like there was another mile to go. The other one (stablemate Silent Prayer) almost caught her. She put away the ones that were pushing her and had enough to hold off our other horse."

Zayas Triumphs in $150,000 Jewel Princess Return


HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - Riding his first mount in almost two months, Edgard Zayas piloted Palm Beach Racing Partnership’s Josdesanimaux to victory in the $150,000 Florida Sire Stakes Jewel Princess division at Gulfstream Park.

Hungry for a win after sitting out seven weeks with a broken clavicle suffered in a spill on July 17, Zayas single-handedly willed Josdesanimaux home in the mile turf event, recovering from a poor start to catch the front-running Katie’s Kiss at the wire in a photo finish.
