Jockey Quotes
JULIEN LEPAROUX, MIDNIGHT BALLET, Winner: “I think the two-turn distance helped her. She’s a big filly and she breaks OK, but she’s not real fast. The six furlong (allowance) race (Oct. 4 at Santa Anita) was just too fast for her. I decided to put her on the rail, save ground and follow the favorite (Scarlet Strike). I got her out at the quarter pole and she made a nice run.”
