Legal Move Sells for $245,000 on Saturday at Keeneland


Lexington, KY (November 15, 2008) – Legal Move, a four-year-old son of Bold Executive, sold as a racing or stallion prospect, brought $245,000 to highlight Saturday’s session of the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.

Canadian Bruno Schickedanz bought the colt, who is a stakes winner at Woodbine. He was consigned by Lane’s End, agent.

Sky Mesa Colt Tops at Keeneland on Friday


Lexington, KY (November 14, 2008) – A weanling colt by Sky Mesa sold for $77,000 during the Friday session of Keeneland’s November Breeding Stock Sale.

Goldmine Investments purchased the colt, out of the Mr. Greeley mare Princess Falina and from the family of champion mare Cascapedia and Australian graded stakes winner Republic Lass. He was consigned by Margaux Farm LLC, agent.

Quick Command Sells for $100,000 on Thursday at Keeneland


Lexington, KY (November 13, 2008) – Quick Command, in foal to Bernstein, brought a final bid of $100,000 to highlight Thursday’s session of Keeneland’s November Breeding Stock Sale.

The five-year-old Gold Legend mare is from the family of European champion Katies (IRE). She was purchased by E-Stable and consigned by Belvedere Farm Inc. (Marty Takacs), agent.

Weanling Colt by Indian Charlie Tops Wednesday Session at Keeneland


Lexington, KY (November 12, 2008) – The weanling market remained strong at Keeneland’s November Breeding Stock Sale, where colts by Indian Charlie and Tapit accounted for the highest prices on Wednesday.

Shannon Run Stables paid the day’s top price of $110,000 for the Indian Charlie colt from the consignment of Eaton Sales, agent. Out of Willa Time, by Gilded Time, the colt is from the family of Travers Stakes (G1) winner Will’s Way and Ashland Stakes (G1) winner Willa On the Move.

Colts Command Attention on Monday at Keeneland


Lexington, KY (November 10, 2008) – Weanling colts by young sires captured the top prices at Keeneland’s November Breeding Stock Sale on Monday, where a colt by Tapit sold for $250,000 to Ben Glass, agent.

Consigned by Elm Tree Farm LLC (Mr. and Mrs. Jody Huckabay), agent, the colt is out of the Green Dancer mare Rumba Punch, and is a half-brother to stakes winner Lyin’ Heart.

Half-Sister to Hystericalady Brings $450,000 At Keeneland on Tuesday


Lexington, KY (November 11, 2008) – Concern Nacca, a half-sister to multiple graded stakes winner Hystericalady, brought a top bid of $450,000 at Keeneland’s November Breeding Stock Sale on Tuesday.

Tasuku Tsuji purchased the eight-year-old daughter of Concern, in foal to Horse of the Year Invasor (ARG). She was consigned by Niknar Farm LLC, agent.

WinStar Racing, agent, was the day’s leading consignor, selling 19 horses for $1,208,000, including five of the session’s highest prices.

Walklikeanegyptian (IRE) Tops Sunday Session At $220,000


Lexington, Ky. (November 9, 2008)—A 5-year-old broodmare, who is pregnant to Perfect Soul (IRE), brought a top price of $220,000 during Sunday’s session of Keeneland’s November Breeding Stock Sale.

Arch Bloodstock LLC bought Walklikeanegyptian (IRE), a graded stakes- placed winner of $93,241, from Glen Hill Farm. Walklikeanegyptian is by Danehill out of Ahdaab and a half-sister to stakes winner Callwood Dancer (IRE).

Medaglia d’Oro Colt Brings $290,000 On Saturday at Keeneland


Lexington, KY (November 8, 2008) – Demand for quality foals continued on Saturday at Keeneland’s November Breeding Stock Sale, where weanling colts accounted for seven of the session’s top 10 prices.

Stockplace paid the day’s highest price of $290,000 for a colt by Medaglia d’Oro. Out of the Affirmed mare Vanity Flair, the colt is from the family of stakes winners Music Maestro, Circulating and La Grande Mamma.

Weanlings Headline Friday Session of Keeneland November Sale


Lexington, KY (November 7, 2008) – Weanling colts – led by a son of Giant’s Causeway which sold for $310,000 – topped Friday’s session of Keeneland’s November Breeding Stock Sale.

Castle Park Farm LLC (Noel Murphy), agent, consigned the colt by Giant’s Causeway out of the Dixieland Band mare Queen’s Music. He was purchased by Clear Ridge Stable.

Danceinthesunlight Sells for $675,000 On Thursday at Keeneland


Lexington, KY (November 6, 2008) – Southern Equine Stables paid $675,000 for Danceinthesunlight, in foal to Forest Wildcat, to highlight Thursday’s session of the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.

Consigned by Anderson Farms, agent for Sam-Son Farm, Danceinthesunlight is an unraced three-year-old daughter of A. P. Indy out of Canadian champion Dancethruthedawn. She is from the family of U.S. and Canadian champion Dance Smartly and Grade 1 stakes winner and sire Smart Strike.

Dam of Stardom Bound Highlights Wednesday Session of Keeneland November Sale


Lexington, KY (November 5, 2008) – My White Corvette, dam of 2008 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) winner Stardom Bound, brought top price of $825,000 on Wednesday at Keeneland’s November Breeding Stock Sale.

Barry Weisbord signed the ticket, on behalf of celebrity chef Bobby Flay, for the 10-year-old mare by Tarr Road. My White Corvette was not mated in 2008 since her weanling filly by Lion Heart was a May foal. She was consigned by Hunter Valley Farm, agent.

Mushka Brings $2.4 Million to Top Tuesday Session of Keeneland November Sale


Lexington, KY (November 4, 2008) – Graded stakes winner Mushka brought a final bid of $2.4 million from Elizabeth Moran’s Brushwood Stable to top Tuesday’s session of the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.

By Empire Maker out of the stakes-winning Seeking the Gold mare Sluice, Mushka won the Demoiselle Stakes (G2) at two and, in her last start prior to the November Sale, an allowance race on opening day of Keeneland’s fall meeting. Franny Abbott, who acted as agent for Mrs. Moran, reported that the three-year-old filly will remain in training with Bill Mott.
